Choosing tires

What tire size fits my car?

There are several ways to find the right tire size for your car:

1. In your car's documents: the registration certificate or owner's manual

2. On your current tires: the numbers on the sidewall (for example, 205/55R16)

3. On the door jamb: a sticker on the driver's door frame

4. On our site: by choosing your car's make and model

If you're not sure, contact us.

What's the difference between summer and winter tires?

The main differences between summer and winter tires:

Summer tires:

for temperatures above +7°C (45°F)

harder rubber compound

shallower tread

good grip on dry and wet pavement

Winter tires:

for temperatures below +7°C (45°F)

softer rubber compound

deep tread with sipes

good performance on snow and ice

All-season tires work in both conditions, but not as well as dedicated tires.

Is there a difference between tire brands?

Yes, tire brands differ noticeably:

Premium brands (Michelin, Continental, Pirelli):

top quality and advanced technology

long life and strong performance

high price

Mid-range brands (Hankook, Yokohama, Kumho):

good value for money

reliable performance

mid-range price

Budget brands (Linglong, Marshal, Lassa):

affordable price

cover the basics

low price

Your choice should depend on your budget and needs.

Technical questions

How do I read a tire size?

A tire size reads like this (for example, 205/55R16 91V):

205 - tire width (mm)

55 - aspect ratio (sidewall height as a percentage of the width)

R - radial construction

16 - rim diameter (inches)

91 - load index

V - speed rating

Load index:

the maximum weight the tire can carry

91 = 615 kg

Speed rating:

the maximum safe speed

V = 240 km/h

Note: these must match your car's requirements.

When should I replace my tires?

When to replace tires:

Tread depth:

summer tires: under 1.6 mm

winter tires: under 4 mm

for safety: under 3 mm

Age:

tires older than 6 years

even if they haven't been used

Damage:

sidewall cracks

bulges

deep cuts

deformation

Performance:

frequent air loss

balancing problems

unusual wear

Test: put a 1 AZN coin in the tread. If you can see Heydar Aliyev's head, it's time to replace the tires.

What should my tire pressure be?

Correct tire pressure:

Where to find it:

the sticker on the door jamb

the owner's manual

inside the fuel door

Typical values:

small cars: 2.0–2.3 bar

midsize cars: 2.2–2.5 bar

large cars: 2.4–2.8 bar

SUVs: 2.5–3.0 bar

When to check:

in the morning, with cold tires

once a week

before a long trip

when the season changes

Note: wrong pressure raises fuel consumption and wears tires out faster.
